Happy Memorial Day Weekend, everyone!
Sending a 'Thank You' to all of the people who have sacrificed their lives for our country and our safety and to those who are still working to protect us all. I think one of the great things about Memorial Day Weekend is giving thanks to our military, past and present, and appreciating our freedom and the sacrifices others have made for us to keep it. This is a time to be grateful for the ability to spend time with family and friends--grateful for freedom!
I spent the weekend in Washington, D.C. and in an effort to truly be in the moment and enjoy my company, I did not take a lot of photos or do any blog work. It's so easy to get caught up in social media that we don't take the time to look around and really appreciate who we're actually with and where we are in the present moment. I challenge myself to be present and I challenge you. Put your phone down sometimes. Have a face to face conversation with someone. I promise your phone will be there when you get back!
