LESS IS MORE
I love neutrals if you couldn't tell. Grey, grey and greyer. Nude, nude and nuder! The more the better! I'm so glad my favorite colors are finally trending because now there are tons of shopping options. Believe it or not it's been really tough to find "neutrals" and "nudes" (not so much grey) in previous seasons so I am so ready to stock up. I think neutrals are classic and are flattering on everyone. They give you a simple yet sophisticated look even with a casual piece like a tee. The key to buying neutrals is to always make sure you're investing in good fabrics. Most companies that will invest in better fabrics will have invested in better shades of colors as well. All neutrals are not equal--just like all white button ups are not equal. Ever buy a cheap white button up? It's awful and not worth it.
I love the look below because it's a casual twist on what otherwise might be a dressy pencil skirt. You can dress it up or down--I'm all about buying multifunctional pieces. You end up getting more bang for your buck and way more out of your wardrobe when you buy pieces that work with so many different options in your closet. That's another reason I stick to the same color palette--I can match my clothes with almost anything. In the weeks to come I'll be showing you more ways to wear these same pieces for completely different looks and talk about creating your own "color wheel" for your style life not only in your wardrobe but at home, too. Stay tuned!
