UPDATE: TAILGATING IN THE SPIRIT

Last week I had the pleasure of attending the Tailgating in the Spirit event as a host committee member, hosted by a lovely family and the Moving in the Spirit team. The home was absolutely beautiful and filled with natural light on what otherwise was a little bit of a cloudy and rainy day. I didn't even notice the weather because I was having so much fun inside. We even had a chance to sit outside for a while--it didn't rain until the very end. Perfect day!

Moving in the Spirit Performers for the Day--so great!

Heather Infantry, Development Director and Major Gifts Officer at Moving in the Spirit, is an absolute joy and beautiful spirit! It's because of her I learned of Moving in the Spirit and have had the wonderful opportunity to get involved.  Thanks, Heather!

My favorite part of the day was meeting some of the kids, hearing them speak and watching them dance. They were so poised, confident, well spoken, polite and intelligent--I could go on and on! They spoke about the impact Moving in the Spirit has had on them and what they've learned most from the organization--it was awesome to see and hear.

The food was delicious! Tastings were available from local restaurants such as Veni Vidi Vici, Pricci , Time to Dine Chefs & Caterers, and others. I was so full! Monday Night Brewing provided craft beers--I didn't get a chance to try one but I heard they were great.

The raffle portion of the day was fun! I didn't win anything (I had my eye on a few things) but I loved watching people get so excited to win. Thank you to SPANX and Pie Shop for donating raffle items!

GREAT NEWS: The fundraising goal for the day was surpassed!

Moving in the Spirit is a great organization and I'm truly looking forward to becoming more involved. If you're not familiar read more about it here, donate and get involved!

Thank you to my family and friends for their support!
